Prayer for the Week

O God, whose blessed Son came into the world that he might destroy the works of the devil and make us children of God and heirs of eternal life: Grant that, having this hope, I may purify myself as he is pure; that, when he comes again with power and great glory, I may be made like him in his eternal and glorious kingdom; where he lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.†

  • Sept 10, 2015 - The choir discussed a proposal for a possible program to offer at Christmas time during rehearsal last night that pulled from songs performed previously in the former Living Christmas Tree. After prayer and discussion, it seemed good to honor the wishes of individuals behind the proposal by offering a simple 45-minute concert of holiday music. Although the venue details were not worked out, it was decided that it was to be one or possibly two performances on a single day. (That is to say, not a multiple-day event.)  You can offer your favorite song suggestions by commenting to our post about this on Facebook.
  • Sept 10, 2015 - Next Wednesday the choir  will be voting on our favorite songs for Musical Sermon Sunday on November 15, 2015.  Printed ballots will be available at rehearsal or you may vote online.  Please do not vote online and submit a printed ballot.  Voting is only open to choir members please.  Printed ballots can be downloaded by clicking here.  Vote online by clicking here.
  • Choir Robe Hems (August 16, 2015) - Originally, we spoke of hemming the choir robes at 18".  We have found, however, this is way too high.  We have changed the hem height to 9".
